Why was there propoganda? What was the purpose?
During the war, American propaganda was used to increase support for the war. Rosie the Riviter was one of the most famous propagandas during the war. Her famous quote "We can do it." meant women can do any job a men could do. A lot of propaganda was used to influence people to ration and donate things for the war.
Different Forms of Propaganda
Bandwagon propaganda is essentially trying to convince the subject that one side is the winning side because more people have joined it. Card stacking involves only presenting information that is positive to an idea or proposal and omitting information contrary to it. Name calling is the use of derogatory language or words that carry a negative connotation when describing an enemy.

It was promoting people to help out witht he war effort. Most of the time it was promoting men to go to war, women

Items Recycled
Items that were recycled included aluminum, copper, paper, tin, steel, ruber, and silk stockings. They recycled these so people could save money for war supplies.
